The Venetian plaster lime based products we use are what you would expect from lime. The are hydrated (arial lime), that hardens back to stone through a carbonation process once they are applied. The lime plasters will prohibit mold and fungus from growing on your walls. They are hygroscopic, absorbing and releasing moisture in the air. This actually regulates the humidity and cools the room. Our lime is non-allergenic and dust mites can not burrow into the wall. The lime plasters contain no chemicals and are very low in VOC's. A true aged lime is very rare to find here in the U.S. in Italy the manufacture ages the lime for 9 months to a year. Adding the highest grade of marble flour and necessary aggregates to form a true authentic plaster that will last for generations.
The semi clear pigments made of mineral oxides are bold and rich in color. Our pigments were the only colorants considered by the Italian government for the restoration work of the frescos in Florence's Cathedral Dome of Brunelleschi.
The Resin Venetian plaster we use are revolutionary formulations that outperform in many ways the current market standards. The Veneziano is our top seller - this is the only plaster on the market that we know of that does not require a wax and is water resistant, it can even be used outside. Veneziano is very durable and can be touched up easier than a waxed venetian plaster. If you decide to change colors you can do so without repeating the entire application process.
