When the historical buildings of the Republic of Venice were erected, all the construction
materials and the corresponding techniques were always carefully selected.
Up to the end of the 18th century, decorated plasters all manufactured by original
Venetian plaster, played a very important role in the European architectural expression.
They were integral and significant part of the whole building system in the Renaissance
and the Baroque period as well, especially in the Rococo style.
